LEAD AgriLife is a robust program designed to accelerate the professional growth trajectory for personnel within strategic areas across Texas A&M AgriLife. The ultimate goal is to foster and develop these individuals for strategic leadership positions, all to positively impact their specific area within Texas A&M AgriLife in a cohesive manner aligned with the fundamental needs of both Texas A&M AgriLife and the people and communities it serves.
Established in 2023 by Jeffrey W. Savell, Ph.D., vice chancellor and dean for Agriculture and Life Sciences, LEAD AgriLife brings together personnel from across the entire Texas A&M AgriLife enterprise. These individuals were selected by Texas A&M AgriLife leadership in an effort to cultivate and grow their unique skills and leadership potential.
The LEAD AgriLife cohort regularly meets to discuss and develop key leadership competencies while workshopping and networking to inspire collaboration and innovation. Through their diverse backgrounds, shared experiences and unique strengths, they work together to grow, support one another and further their professional roles as leaders.
