Biography
Kranthi Mandadi is an Associate Professor in Plant Pathology and Microbiology at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research & Extension Center in Weslaco. His research focuses on developing novel crop improvement and protection technologies. He made several pioneering contributions to studies of unculturable pathogens causing citrus greening and potato zebra chip diseases, published over 70 peer-reviewed manuscripts in high-impact journals, and mentored over 50 students and early career scientists. He also received $42 million in funding from various federal, state, private, and non-profit/foundations and agencies.
