Biography

Dr. Vijay Joshi is an Associate Professor at the Department of Horticultural Sciences, leading the Systems Physiology program at the AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Uvalde. The core strength of Joshi’s research program is the integration of genomics and metabolomics technologies to address critical challenges in agricultural production, nutrition, and human and environmental health. His research has resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications, fetching funding through competitive grants, establishing collaborations, and coaching several students and research personnel at the Center and the department.
