Dear colleagues,
As we transition into the Thanksgiving break, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt gratitude to you, the members of Texas A&M AgriLife. This includes our dedicated faculty and staff in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and our dedicated employees in our agencies across the state.
Your collective commitment to our land-grant mission continues to improve lives across the state of Texas through excellence in teaching, research, extension and service. We have statewide impact that reaches every Texan because of you! Our excellence is a model for the nation – we are Texans and Aggies first and foremost!
Thanksgiving is particularly meaningful to us at Texas A&M AgriLife as we reflect on the vital role agriculture plays in our daily lives. From the food we eat to the clothes we wear, our nation’s hard-working farmers and ranchers make so many things possible. As you sit down around the table for Thanksgiving lunch or dinner later this week, I hope you remember to give special thanks to those who produced the delicious variety of foods that fill your plates.
Most of all, I wish you a relaxing and well-deserved Thanksgiving holiday spent with people you love. I look forward to returning from the break refreshed and ready to close out 2021.
Thank you again and have a happy Thanksgiving!
