Colleagues,
To further our commitment to removing barriers to opportunity for our students, staff and faculty by addressing issues of diversity, inclusion and equity and to engender a climate of respect in Texas A&M AgriLife, we are creating the Texas A&M AgriLife Inclusive Excellence Advisory Board. Members of this board will assist the administration in the design, implementation and evaluation of programs, policies and practices that support our development of inclusive excellence in research, teaching, extension and service.
We are seeking board members who have served in an executive capacity in the private sector, government or academia with a demonstrated record of accomplishment in inclusive excellence. Their expertise will help advance meaningful change and accountability in our classrooms, workplaces and outreach activities throughout the state.
Your involvement and input are crucial for creating this meaningful change. Personnel from the Texas A&M AgriLife agencies and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, as well as students, may submit nominations for board membership.
To view additional information on the nomination process, and to submit a nomination, please visit the AgriLife website. For questions, contact Craig Coates, Ph.D, associate dean for inclusive excellence, Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at ccoates@tamu.edu or (979) 458-1219. The deadline to submit nominations is August 1, 2020.
Thank you for your careful consideration of outstanding individuals to nominate for the Inclusive Excellence Advisory Board. Together, we can be catalysts for change that welcomes unity, diversity and inclusion as we fulfill our land-grant mission of reaching every Texan to improve their lives.
Sincerely,

Patrick J. Stover, Ph.D.
