Howdy,
I am excited to announce Patti Smith, Ph.D., as the new full-time department head of the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering.
Dr. Smith is a longtime faculty member in the department. Her institutional knowledge, extensive work with students and stakeholders, acclaimed research, successful collaborations and capable leadership will help ensure the longstanding success of the department. Her vision for the department aligns well with our Texas A&M AgriLife-wide land-grant mission goals to meet the education, research, extension and service needs of Texas.
The Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering is critical to our success as a land-grant institution. The department’s faculty, staff and students have a world of opportunity ahead of them in impactful, rapidly evolving fields.
I look forward to seeing how their innovations and collaborations push the bounds of science, technology and education.
