The ZIP file of College marks, below, contains logos in a number of colors and formats. In addition, both “stacked” and horizontal versions are available. The decision to use the stacked or horizontal version depends on where the mark will be placed and the amount of space allotted/needed. If the mark will be a focal point, then the stacked mark would be better. If the mark will be used in a header, then the horizontal one would be better.

If printing in black and white, use the black-and-white version of the logo (“on white background”). A “white” or “reversed” version of the identity and a maroon/white version are also available for printing on dark and medium-tone backgrounds. The one-color maroon version should only be used when two color is not an option or is cost prohibitive and should not be used for digital application. Always use the right logo for print or web to maintain highest quality.

When do I use the university, college and/or departmental mark?
Use the university mark (and then use brand fonts to represent your specific entity) for:
- creating a formal visual connection to the university
- co-branding with other departments across the university, or
- when the designed piece will stand on its own at the university/external level.
- “Official” stationery (business cards, letterhead, etc.)
Use the College mark (and then use brand fonts to represent your entity) for:
- collateral to be used by other parts of the College (advisers, Dean’s Office) or university (admissions, etc.)
- projects where a connection to the college is needed/wanted.
Use the Departmental mark for:
- departmental banners, flyers and informational pieces.
- pieces (clothing, nametags) where identification with the department is needed.
- pieces that will be part of a multi-departmental marketing/information effort.
- internal marketing pieces.
How do I get a logo/mark for my center, lab, office, department?
To maintain and enhance brand strength of the overall Texas A&M University brand, secondary program, department or lab marks/logos are being phased out as they are no longer accepted by the university. Use of the appropriate departmental or college identity is encouraged. In some cases, new versions of a “unit identity” (for a program or lab but similar to the college and the departmental lockups) can be created to support the endeavor, but they all still follow Texas A&M branding conventions.
That being the case, all requests or considerations for a logo/mark for your program must be approved by college administration and then by the Texas A&M’s Division of Marketing & Communications. How do I co-brand for joint appointments (and where do I order stationery)?
The university has specific guidelines for branding and using the university’s primary mark. For applications where the co-branding purpose ties your affiliation (agency, college) to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (AgriLife focused), then use the college identity with “Texas A&M University.” For applications where the co-branding purpose ties your agency appointment and the university together use the Texas A&M University primary mark. In either case, both marks need to be equally sized and similarly/symmetrically placed (don’t make one smaller or larger than the other and do not put one on the front and one on the back.
For co-branding that deals with ordering stationery (business cards, letterhead, etc.) you will need to use the university’s ordering system.
