Office of Federal Relations

The Texas A&M AgriLife Office of Federal Relations supports, at the federal level, programs of Texas A&M AgriLife Research, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, the Texas A&M Forest Service, the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory, and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The office is responsible for assisting the Vice Chancellor and other AgriLife leadership to develop and advance AgriLife funding and other priorities with the federal government and coordinating AgriLife contacts and integrations with congressional offices, the White House, and federal agencies and officials. The AgriLife Federal Relations Office is integrated with the Texas A&M University System Office of Federal Relations to ensure a coordinated, System-wide approach at the federal level.

Reporting business travel to the Washington, D.C., area

All Texas A&M AgriLife administrators, faculty and staff traveling to the Washington, D.C., area for business purposes should report such travel to the Texas A&M AgriLife Office of Federal Relations ahead of their visit, preferably two weeks prior. This reporting will help ensure compliance with federal lobby disclosure requirements and ensure Texas A&M AgriLife leadership and the Federal Relations Office are aware of and can assist with Washington visits.

To access the electronic form to report Washington-area business travel, please visit Travel to Washington, D.C.
