Howdy and Happy Thanksgiving!
I wish you all a safe and happy holiday spent with those important to you. I hope this break will allow everyone the chance to rest and reflect on gratitude.
Texas A&M AgriLife has always been a community that brings people together to celebrate the impact of agriculture, and there’s no better holiday for us to do so than Thanksgiving. I’m grateful for the hard work all our employees, students and other stakeholders have put forth throughout the year and the many accomplishments they have made possible.
Thank you for all you do to advance our mission and lead the way to a thriving future for us all.
Even as we take some time away from work and school, let us remember to give back what we can to our communities, especially to those less fortunate. In Bryan-College Station, we are collaborating with KBTX again for their annual food drive and will be collecting canned and nonperishable food donations from Dec. 3 to Dec. 6 near the AgriLife Event lawn. For those located throughout the state, any support you can provide to your local food banks will be greatly appreciated.
As always, let us remain committed to our core values and land-grant mission of serving others.
With many thanks,
Gig ’em,
Jeffrey W. Savell
