Social Media

In order to best take advantage of all the power and promise of online social media (Wikipedia definition), the Web Corps is attempting to consolidate and organize the organization's representation across outside social sites. While this is in no way meant to be a hindrance to ensuring AgriLife is represented in as many relevant online venues as possible, it is an attempt to ensure that representation is consistent and consolidated in both message, brand and content.

Below you'll find a list of social media sites and the AgriLife profile/page set up there by AgriLife Communications. If you submit to any of these sites/services by way of another account, please get in touch with the Web Communications Manager to arrange submission of your content through the main profile as well, to ensure we provide a venue on these sites where visitors can engage the full array of our offerings.

To discuss how we best take advantage of these sites/services, please visit our Google Group.

Video/Photos

To better consolidate and organize AgriLife's video offerings on these sites, please send all AgriLife-related videos to the following address, in the following format. We will ensure they are posted to the above video resources through the official AgriLife profile.

  • Format: On CD or DVD in a high-quality compression format (ie- Quicktime, MPEG-4, Windows Media). Does not need to be full-screen. The better the resolution of the video you send however, the better it will look at its final online destination after Flash video compression by any of the above listed services.
