Welcome to the website of the Vice Chancellor for Agriculture and Life Sciences and Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Search Advisory Committee

Texas A&M University President Elsa Murano and Texas A&M System Chancellor Mike McKinney have authorized the search for the new Vice Chancellor for Agriculture and Life Sciences and Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The Search Advisory Committee has been charged to identify gifted candidates with extraordinary visionary leadership skills and experience to lead the state-wide agricultural complex comprised of the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences and four state agencies to develop and enhance the academic, research, technology development, service, and extension missions to serve the State of Texas and the nation as a premier land grant program in the United States. Likewise, the Vice Chancellor and Dean will (1) collaborate with applicable administrators at System institutions and university communities, and (2) develop goals, objectives and plans that will ensure educational and program excellence, service to students and to Texas agriculture interests, and growth in stature and financial support of System agriculture programs.

The Search Advisory Committee has initiated a national search aimed at identifying individuals who have the forward-thinking, creative energy, and administrative skills to develop and implement the highest quality academic, research, service and extension missions in the context of the state and national agricultural enterprises and constituencies. Our website serves as a conduit to inform the Texas agricultural communities of the process, progress and activities of the Search Advisory Committee. Likewise, our committee highly encourages proactive submission of nominations facilitated by the website while also providing the mechanism for applications. The email address for our Search Advisory Committee website is vcsearch@ag.tamu.edu .
